About Us

Gipping Valley Archers is an archery club that operates in Ipswich and Claydon. At Gipping Valley Archers everyone is welcome from beginners all the way up to elite archers.


Gipping Valley Archers accommodate for archers with most types of bows icluding:

• Recurve
• Longbow
• Compound
• American Flatbow
• and many more...

The one type of bow we don't allow people to use is a crossbow for multiple reasons.  Archers of any age are welcome at our club. The only thing we do insist is that if an archer is under 16 years of age, they are accompanied by an adult. Archers must have also completed a beginner course.

We have three qualified coaches and two qualified archery leaders in the club. Two of the coaches in the club are Suffolk's only two County Coaches.

We welcome archers who are not a member of our club if they wish to shoot with us at any time we have a £2.00 per session target fee.

The club owns both it's own targets, bows and arrows ect.. we are quite happy to lend equipment to new members of the club and if someone isn't a member of they club they can rent use of our bows, arrows and other equipment for £3.00.
